Overview:
We are looking for a motivated Junior Developer to join our team and help build, support and maintain our codebase development. This role is ideal for someone with over one year of experience who has a solid foundation in coding, enjoys solving bugs, and is comfortable working with both technical and non-technical team members.
We are looking for a motivated Junior Developer to join our team and help build, support and maintain our codebase development. This role is ideal for someone with over one year of experience who has a solid foundation in coding, enjoys solving bugs, and is comfortable working with both technical and non-technical team members.
The role includes a mix of bug fixing, light feature development, database work, design support, and documentation. You will primarily contribute to existing systems, help improve internal workflows, and assist in turning business requirements into clear technical direction for our development partners.
This is a great opportunity for someone early in their career who wants hands-on experience across both software development and real-world IT operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work with TypeScript, HTML/CSS, and Tailwind CSS to improve and maintain front-end functionality
- Contribute to back-end updates in Node.js-based applications where needed
- Write and optimize database queries using PostgreSQL and MongoDB
- Build and maintain Python scripts for scraping and other internal automation tasks
- Create wireframes or mockups in Figma for responsive web pages and feature updates
- Write PRDs and other clear documentation to communicate business requirements and desired functionality
- Fix bugs and make updates within existing web application codebases
- Collaborate with internal non-technical stakeholders to understand requests, issues, and desired improvements
- Help translate business needs into clear deliverables
Qualifications:
- 1+ year of experience in software or web development
- Working knowledge of TypeScript, Python, HTML, and CSS
- Familiarity with Tailwind CSS
- Experience using AI tools to improve productivity in development or documentation workflows
- Experience working with databases such as PostgreSQL and/or MongoDB
- Ability to debug issues and work within an existing codebase
- Comfortable writing clear technical or product documentation
- Strong communication skills and ability to work with non-technical stakeholders
- Organized and detail-oriented approach to tasks and follow-through
Nice to Have:
- Experience with Figma
- Familiarity with writing product requirement documents or feature specifications
